We work in partnership with a wide range of mainstream schools and we aim for each fulltime pupil to have an inclusive learning link.
Examples of joint groups of children working together include:
Weekly gross motor skills groups led by our staff at Ryelands Primary School
Team building skills (Kielder challenge) working with high school pupils (Lancaster Girls' Grammar School, Our Lady's and Wennington Hall
Small groups of Key Stage 4 pupils accessing subject lessons at Our Lady's Catholic College
Weekly physical programme (Sherborne, relationship play)
Daily play opportunities at Ryelands School
Outdoor and Adventurous activities with Year 6 pupils from Grosvenor Park Primary School
Key Stage 3 Performing Arts project at Ripley St Thomas School
We work closely with local colleges; some of our students access regular sessions at the Adult College; Beaumont College and Lancaster and Morecambe College. On a more occasional basis older students access extra-curricular programme at Lancaster University.
