Two secondary classes join Skerton High School pupils once a fortnight for a performing arts lesson. These sessions take place at the High School and focus on composition and accompanying songs using tuned and untuned percussion. At the end of the year, all the students perform at The Loyne School and have a social activity.
Sessions are led by musicians from More Music in Morecambe and a teacher from The Loyne School. Staff and students from Skerton High are very welcoming and this opportunity enables all pupils from Class N and E to access a regular inclusive learning activity. Music Technology is used to sample sounds and to create a CD.
