Talk Together
This is a teaching pack written by staff from The Loyne School and devised for support staff to deliver a 15 week intensive speaking and listening course, (20 minutes twice a week) to small groups of Key Stage 1 or 2 pupils. Talk Together aids listening and attention skills and models good oral language. The pack includes all resources, including puppets, texts and frameworks; comprehensive lesson plans and recording sheets. This programme is based on First Steps and Talking Partners scheme. Improvements in speaking and listening are most impressive.
Top Tips for Talking
This is a box of exciting tried and tested resources and information packs on 4 different areas of speaking and listening, including Expression, Speech Sounds, Comprehension and Listening and Attention skills. Top Tips for Talking has been devised by The Loyne School in conjunction with a speech and language therapist. All activities are designed for Key Stage 1 pupils who would benefit from focussed language activities.
The Loyne School has been funded by an inclusion grant to develop this work and we invite schools to contact us if they wish to be part of this free training and six month loan of materials. All the resources have been carefully chosen and are motivating for pupils. Emphasis has been placed on easy to follow instructions. We have 30 Resource boxes available.
