Business Support Officer

Due to increasing demands on the school office we are now seeking to recruit a friendly, committed and skilled Business Support Officer to help us meet the needs of the school and extended provision. Working as part of our small well-established office team, we are seeking someone with excellent customer service skills who has demonstrable experience of working in an outward facing customer role. You must be able to work effectively in a very fast paced environment where priorities may change on a daily basis. Due to the varied nature of the role you must be highly organised and able to meet deadlines whilst ensuring accuracy in your work.

The role will involve a broad range of administrative duties as referenced in the job description. The successful applicant will be required to competently use office based systems such as Sims, Cash Office and Teacher2Parents and must be able to work effectively on their own initiative. Training will be provided. Once embedded you will be expected to lead on school attendance processes, advise and meet with the senior leadership team regarding pupil attendance, and ensure that statutory attendance policy is adhered to at all times.

Working days are Monday – Friday with Wednesday as a day off. Term time only plus 5 Inset days. The pro rata salary for this post is £15,234 per annum.

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English Grade C or above

Essential Experience

  • Working in an outward facing customer service role.
    Working in a fast paced environment
    Experience of and the ability to competently use Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel

Desirable Experience

  • Working in a school office
    Previous experience of using SIMs and other school based management systems

Learning Assistant

GRADE 3 SCP 3 – 4 

 Closing Date: 6 October 2020

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, committed and enthusiastic Learning Assistant to support our learners. The successful candidate must be willing to work flexibly as they may be placed in any one of our age phases including Post 19.

The successful applicant must be able to form positive relationships with children and young adults and be willing to undertake various tasks to support our learners which will include; assistance in securing the safety, welfare, and behaviour of all learners. Duties will also include supervision and assistance with feeding, toileting and personal care.

The post offered on a temporary basis until 31st August 2021, for 30 hours per week over 5 days term time only from 8.45 a.m. – 3.15 p.m. The pro rata gross annual salary for this post is £12,668.

Desirable Qualifications

GCSE English A – C.

Essential Experience

Ability to relate well to and communicate effectively with children and young adults
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team.

Desirable Experience

Working with or caring for children and young people with special needs.
Working in a school.
