After School Clubs
Aqua Dance – A dance session that takes place in the pool helping to improve strength, fitness and stamina. This club is open to our F.E students.
FE Sports Club – The club allows students to participate in different sporting activities including football, basketball, golf, badminton and cricket. The sessions are led by coaches from Morecambe F.C.
Primary/Secondary Sports Club – The club allows students to participate in different sporting activities including football, basketball, golf, badminton and cricket. The sessions are led by coaches from Morecambe F.C.
Dance Club – The club is open to a small number of students from throughout school and is very popular. Taught by an experienced dance teacher, the students have taken part in Lancashire Schools Dance Festivals.
Film Club – Film Club is open to F.E students. The Film Club has a subscription to Netflix allowing us to receive up to date films. With popcorn and refreshments it’s just like being in the cinema.
Youth Club – The Youth Club is open to all F.E students and runs every month, times vary depending on what exciting activity we are doing. The Youth Club is extremely popular and always highly attended. The cost of each Youth Club is usually £10, this can change depending on the activity. The club not only gives students the opportunity to socialise outside school but also increases their self confidence through experiencing difference activities in new settings. Students have visited the illuminations, Super Bowl, Cinemas, football matches and concerts. The have also enjoyed eating out at local restaurants and pubs.
Sensory Art – A new club this year, students have the opportunity to explore and create art work using different materials and textures.
Lunch Time Clubs
Sensory Club – The aim of the club is to create a fun sensory environment. The session is generally themed using different smells such as incense sticks, candles and massage oils. Relaxing music is played to create a calm and soothing environment. The students are also given the opportunity to develop communication skills whilst working with their partner using Tacpacs. Other activities include parachute and bubble fun games, ribbon sticks, and the use of tactile fabrics. All children taking part in these activities have benefited greatly.
Sports Club – Sports Club offers some of our Primary and Secondary students the opportunity to play a variety of sports either in our purpose built Multi Use Games Area or the school hall on wet days. Sports include football, cricket and basketball.
Art Club – Art Club allows students to create and design their own creative art pieces. Available to both primary and secondary students.
Samba Club – Open to F.E and Secondary students, the group enjoy the chance to play a variety of drums and percussion instruments in a big band setting.
Cycling Club – A group of identified pupils have joined our new daily Cycling Club. Pupils have the opportunity to access a range of adapted bikes and cycle on our new cycle track. We have trikes, recumbants and two wheeler bikes.
Sing and Sign Club – The group sing and sign along to a variety of music and songs, they regularly perform in school assemblies. They have also performed at fundraising events.
Ukulele Club – Taught by our fabulous music therapist, the group have been learning to play and practising a variety of songs.
Eco Club – This is a new club which offers primary and secondary students the chance to learn about environmentally friendly ways to help school and the environment.
