Teaching of Reading
Little Wandle is the systematic synthetic programme that we use for the teaching of phonics. This programme provides a specific SEND pathway for the teaching of phonics with materials to support both teachers and parents.

Our pupils are working significantly below age related expectations and as such progress 8 is not a relevant measure of progress (from the end of KS2 to the end of KS4). Rather, progress is tracked individually using the school’s menu of assessment. More information on how we assess pupil progress can be found here.
