We are delighted to offer a range a workshops and information sessions in school over the year. All parents and carers are welcome, and any professionals who are interested can also come along!
Last academic year, courses delivered by school staff, therapists and external agencies, have included: Sleep difficulties and Sleep Solutions, Riding the Rapids (managing behaviours), Positive behaviour support, Introduction to Early Signing, Internet Safety for Children and Young People with Learning Disabilities & Continence Support.
Our schedule for the academic year 2017 – 18 will feature below shortly and will be added to throughout the year – so do come back and check regularly.
‘Developing Early Interaction Skills for Children and Young People with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Severe Learning Difficulties’.
The session will run on –
Wednesday 25th July 2018, 10am – 1pm at The Loyne Specialist School
This course will look at using strategies and principals to teach the pre-speech foundations of communication to children and adults who have severe learning difficulties and/or autism and who are still at an early stage of communication development.
This course is free for Loyne parents and staff and £35 per place for visitors from other schools and settings. If you would be interested in attending this course please contact the school and leave a message with the school office including your name and contact number.
